What is SHR? 
SHR stands for Super Hair Removal, a technology of hair removal which is having a sweeping success.

Difference between Laser and the IPL technology , compared to SHR.
Traditional laser or IPL technologies employ short impulses of approximately 2-300 milliseconds, applying a vast amount of energy (12-120 Joule on one square centimetre). Energy is transported to the hair root through melanin, where warmth of 65-72° Celsius is produced. Energy reaches the root of the hair follicle solely through melanin. Skin and red blood cells have a similar absorption coefficient as melanin and therefore also absorb the high levels of energy produced by the laser and IPL methods. This can lead to swelling lasting several days or even to third-degree burns.
SHR technology, on the other hand, utilizes the melanin path only partially (50%). Skin is penetrated down to the follicles which produce hair growth.
Conventional devices, not using SHR technology, merely transport energy along the melanin to the follicles. 
SHR gently transports the energy through the skin and through the melanin to the hair follicles.
Research has shown that a slower, but longer heating process is considerably more effective for permanent hair removal than high and short levels of energy. Therefore, when using SHR, the device is passed over the tissue multiple times (in motion) using low energy but a high rate of repetition (up to 10Hz, i.e. 10 times per second) instead of using the traditional method with single, high-energy impulses. Thus, the hair melanin, as well as the tissue of the stem cells, is heated with low energy at a slow pace and over a longer period of time to a comfortable temperature of 45° Celsius.

How does SHR work?
How SHR works, is a revolutionary approach, rather that bombarding your skin with high amounts of Joules ( energy ), SHR fires multiple shots but at low Joules, in doing so it gently heats the hair follicle to the heat needed and the most you will feel is warmth and a tingling sensation, some clients comparing it to a warm massage. SHR also utilizes In-Motion technology, where the hand piece is always in motion over the skin.

Is SHR suitable for all skin types?
SHR is suitable for all skin types, even tanners, this is achievable because of the technology and techniques utilized. Unlike traditional Laser and IPL , SHR can be had all year round without having to hide from the sun.

Will SHR work on blonde, red or fine hair?
Like all hair removal, hairs that are dark work the best, however with SHR there may be a reduction of up to 50% on blonde, red and fine hairs that some Lasers and IPL may not achieve. As we are all unique results will vary from person to person. So we offer 50% off  your first two treatments.

How many treatments are needed?
To fully treat the area you may require 6-10 treatments at four week intervals. A four week regime is important to maintain so that the SHR treatments get the hair at its four week re-growth. Near the end of the treatments 6-8 week intervals will be needed to finish off your course. _____________________________________________________________________________________
Is there any pain?
Absolutely pain free, this is achieved by SHR technology and In-Motion techniques, to give you a pain free treatment, including in the most sensitive areas.

Is this permanent?
There is no such thing as permanent hair removal, your body hormones always produce hair, the difference is this is hair reduction. Meaning after your course of treatments you will have 80%-90% hair gone, with only touch up treatments needed 1-2 times a year.
